FUNCTION AREAS FOR HIRE

 

 

 

 

FUNCTION INFORMATION

 

 

The following information is designed to provide you with all that you will require to hold a function at this Hotel.  Should you have any further enquiries or wish to view any of the function areas please do not hesitate to contact our function coordinator Tuesday to Friday during business hours on 9386 2200.

Here are just some of the functions we can cater for:

 

Birthdays (please note we do not do 18ths)

Weddings

Reunions

Christmas celebrations

After work sundowners

Wind ups for sporting teams

Wakes

Engagement parties

*We will not accept pub crawls unless we are the first or second destination

 

In preparing for your function, please consider the following items,

1.      What type of function do I want?

2.      How many people will I be expecting?

3.      How much money do I have to spend?

4.      Will I be providing food and drinks for my guests?

5.      Do I have any special requirements that need addressing, whether it be food, beverage, audiovisual, room set up, etc?

 

There are predominantly 2 areas within the hotel that are available to hire.

 

The Alcove is adjacent to the bar and is used for groups of up to 60 in a cocktail style function.  This area is complimented by it’s own fireplace and French doors opening out onto the courtyard. The fee to hire this area is $100.

 

The Back Bar can accommodate approximately 120 people and is ideal for any celebration.  This area has groovy décor, pool table, and a large screen where you can view your own DVD’s, you can also choose your own CD’s. The fee to hire this area is $200.

 

You may prefer a sit down set menu function which can be organised in our courtyard area or in inside the Hotel. Please not that the courtyard area is not available to hire for functions.

 

The Captain Stirling will attempt to meet any special requirements that you may have for your function. Simply contact our function coordinator and we will do our utmost to accommodate the needs of you and your guests.

 

 

Payment

 

Confirmation of all functions at The Captain Stirling is done via the payment of room hire. The room hire for functions held in the Alcove area is $100, and $200 for the back bar. Payments for all functions are to be made within 14 days, unfortunately after this time we can no longer hold a tentative booking.

 

Final payment is due at the end of your function and can be paid by cash, credit card or EFTPOS. Unfortunately, The Captain Stirling does not accept cheques.

 

Please be aware that The Captain Stirling is a responsible server of alcohol and will not serve anyone that we perceive to be intoxicated or under the legal age of 18. Children are welcome to the Captain Stirling Hotel and must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

 

Function Food

 

The Captain Stirling is able to offer a range of options for your function food. You can choose from our function platter menu, or our normal a la carte menu.  Or we can work with you to tailor make a set menu to suit your budget & taste.

 

Should you wish to offer your guests finger food we have an extensive Platter Menu which has a variety of delicious finger food suitable for 8 – 20 people.

For catering purposes all food requirements for the function must be finalised 4 days prior to your function. For Set Menu functions, final numbers must be confirmed 48 hours prior to your function and this is the number you will be billed for.

 

 

Beverage

 

As a member of the Southern Accord and Responsible Servers of Alcohol the Captain Stirling is unable to offer any discounted rates for beverages.  However our extensive range of draught beers, wines & spirits offers several choices for any budget.

 

All drinks are charged on a consumption basis with variety of bar tab options for your guest exclusively or they can purchase drinks over the bar.

 

We can also organise tea and coffee service for your guests. The cost will vary depending on the number of guests you are catering for.

 

The Captain Stirling Hotel also has accommodation at excellent rates for out of town guests or those wishing to avoid a long drive home; we have single rooms, doubles, a family room and an executive suite which includes a kitchen, lounge and spa bath.

 

It is strongly recommended that all people attending functions at The Captain Stirling Hotel have photo identification with them.
